Ingredients: 6 stips of bacon 1 Lb. ground hamburger Season to taste ½ Lb. Cheddar, Mozzarella, Provolone or Swiss emmental-type cheese cut into logs the size of string cheese.
Directions: Preheat oven 350o F Lay six strips of bacon on sushi mat Mix hamburger, BBQ rub and seasonings together in a bowl From one end apply a thin layer of the mixture over the bacon strips, but leave about a 1 ½ to 2 inch edge at the end of only bacon. At one end add the cheese roll sushi mat firmly Cook over indirect heat Place rolls seam side down on rack over 9X13 Roaster Pan Cook 25 minutes Brush with BBQ sauce glaze Cook for another 10 minutes Glaze again after 5 minutes Roll in crumbled nacho chips or fried onions Coat with toppings on all sides pressing in slightly Cut portions as desired like sushi Serve with BBQ sauce and pickled Jalapenos |
