Summary Easier than making jam, but equally delicious. This cherry conserve is perfect for pouring on pancakes and stirring into yogurt, but our favorite use is making homemade cherry smoothies!

4 Quart Stock Pot with Cover View

Ingredients: 4 cups sweet cherries 2 medium navel oranges, peeled, seeded and chopped ½ cup lemon juice ½ cup sugar 2 Tbls. grated orange rind ¾ tsp. cinnamon ⅛ tsp.ground cloves
Directions: In the 4 Quart Sauce Pan combine all of the ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Return to a boil and boil for 5 minutes or intil thickened.
Pour into sterilized jars leaving ¼ inch headspace. Wipe the rims clean, attach the lids and tightly screw on the lids. Invert the jars for 10 seconds.
Cool on a wire rack. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks. Yields: 3 (8oz) jars |
